Term 2 Colchester Branch
Good Evening,
Happy new year to all our students, parents, family and friends. We hope you all have a wonderful Christmas.
Term 2 officially starts Tuesday 7th of January 2025 and here are a few things to be aware of going into this new term and year.
2025 is the year of our biannual show, further information will be going out to all students inform of a letter, majority of these letters will be going out Tuesday but if you do not attend Tuesday do not worry as you will receive yours on the Wednesday .
I (Sel) will be back from Tuesday in the Colchester branch all three days. Looking forward to seeing how the students have been getting on while I have been on maternity leave.
Couple of things to take note off,
We have had no further emails in regards to Disney onsite stay. Once again, as soon as I hear I will inform you all.
Please note students in sister act should be wearing New Yorkers to class to rehearse in.
For those students who took exams in December you will not be joining the next class, due to our exams being in February and us going to show work after half term, it does not seem feasible to join a class. Instead we wish to focus on the students in that grade to get them ready for their examination.
For students who need a little longer, whether it’s because they have just started or still grasping the technique. I have decided to put in an extra an exam session in July to cater for all learners and their abilities.
Two new competitions have been added to the list in October and November these will be compulsory for all our troupes from the show to take part. So you have 10 and 11 months notice :D
Attendance has been extremely poor in this branch, it does impact a child’s learning having so much time off. Please be mindful of this especially if you are part of the competition team not only does it impact their learning but it has a direct affect on their dance partners and group.
Please ensure all students have their hair in a neat bun for class and in correct Dancewear uniform.
