Dance Intensive

Good Afternoon,

for those taking part in the dance intensive this week please see below the information required.

Date - Saturday 27th July 2024

Time - 9:00 - 15:00pm

Venue - Gorsebrook Secondary School (please note we will be in the secondary studio not primary.)

Payment - Please ensure payments are made before you attend the day

Dress code - Dance wear suitable for jazz technique, lyrical, MT jazz and commercial jazz. You may wish to bring something different for commercial. Hair neatly off face. You do not have to wear Donovan’s wear if you don’t want too.

What to bring? - yoga blocks, stretch bands and weights if you have them.

Food/drink - Please bring a pack lunch suitable for the day of dance, no nuts allowed due to allergies. Plenty of water!

Timetable for the day - Classes will start promptly at 9am so please ensure you have arrived by 8:50am.

9:00 - 10:00am Stretch Class for legs and back with Rhianna.

10:00 - 11:00am Jazz Technique (kicks, turns and leaps.) with Grace Walker

11:00 - 12:00pm Commercial Jazz with Grace Walker

12:00 - 1:00pm Musical Theatre Jazz with Tommy Langdale (first 30 minutes with juniors, year 6 and unders while seniors are on lunch. Second half hour seniors, year 7 plus while juniors are on lunch.)

1:00 - 2:00pm Lyrical with Tommy Langdale (everyone)

2:00 -3:00pm Jazz Performance with Tommy Langdale (everyone)

Videos and photos will be taken throughout the day for our socials if you wish to get a video on your own device of choreography please check with choreographer.
