Musical Theatre Intensive

Good Morning,

For those taking part in the Musical Theatre Intensive this week, please see below information required for the day.

Date - Thursday 25th July 2024

Times - 10:00 - 16:00pm

Payment - Please ensure payment has been made prior to coming for the day.

Timetable for the day

10:00 - 10:45am Acting Games - (acting exercises to develop character as well as warming up the body and facial expressions.

10:45 - 12:30 Singing Technique Ensemble: Six - Learn a full song, set choreography and record! Bring a outfit that would work for the musical six.

12:30 - 1:30pm Acting Scenes: Wicked Acting scene between Elphaba and Galinda.

1:30-2:00pm Lunch (please bring your own pack lunch, no nuts can be brought on site.)

2-3pm Juniors Charlie and the Chocolate Factory Dance Workshop - Guest Tutor: West End Star Morgan Scott will be teaching you original choreography from the musical Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

2-3pm Seniors Acting through Song Workshop - bring a song you know already to sing in front of the class and work on developing the acting through song to really enhance your character. What your song progress. Can be a song you are working on currently with your singing teacher or a new song you would like to work on, please ensure you know the words.

Parents are welcome to drop students and collect, please ensure on drop off you let us know who will be collecting. Students need to be in clothes they can move in, this does not necessarily need to be Donovan’s wear but if they wish too that’s absolutely fine. Sarah will be out the front of the building from 9:45am to show people how to get to the dance studio space where the intensive is placed. Please ensure you arrive then as first class starts at 10:00am.
